Notre Dame senior Niko Kavadas was selected by the Boston Red Sox in the 11th round; capping a record setting year for the Irish senior first baseman.
Kavadas, an Indiana Nitro alum from the 2017 class, was rewarded for his final season.
Kavadas slugged his way into the Notre Dame record books with 21 HR’s, a .305 BA, 8 doubles, 41 runs scored and 62 RBI’s! Kavadas also walked an incredible 50 times this season.
“I’ve worked my whole life for this moment. It’s surreal to realize it’s finally here,” said the 6’1, 235 pound power hitter.
